We are excited to support a new SEN school in recruiting a dedicated Maths Teacher for Key Stage 3 and 4. This is a unique opportunity to join a school that provides highly effective education, therapy, welfare, and support for children aged 11-16 years with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, as well as other complex learning needs.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Develop schemes of work and plan lessons in line with national objectives.
  • Encourage, monitor, and record the progress of individual pupils.
  • Devise and adapt resources to suit individual needs and progress all students towards accreditation at appropriate levels.
  • Provide continuous assessment, reporting, and recording.
  • Promote the safety and well-being of the children and young people.
  • Stay updated with developments in curriculum subject areas, new resources, and teaching methods.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience working in a child protection environment or knowledge of child protection issues, procedures, and legislation.
  • A good working knowledge and understanding of curriculum requirements and assessment procedures for Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Ability to drive with access to a vehicle due to the rural location of the school.
