Inclusion Room Supervisor

The school are looking to secure an Inclusion Room Supervisor to start asap on an ongoing long term assignment. The purpose of this post is to provide structured supervision for students in the internal isolation room and have discussions with pupils to ensure they understand why they have been placed in the room.

  • Take the class register at the beginning of each lesson.
  • Disseminate worksheets and materials prepared by the Head of Department / Teachers that are necessary for the work to be completed.
  • Manage behaviour in the classroom and within the isolation room in order to maintain an atmosphere conducive to learning.
  • Write a report about any incident or student that disrupts learning.
  • Collect all work and materials at the end of the lesson.
  • Liaise with subject teachers to support students with their work.
  • Be proactive to set work when pupils do not have work.
  • To supervise break and lunch times for the students in isolation and ensure they do not cross over with mainstream social times.
  • Meet with pupils so that they understand why they have been placed in the isolation room and provide daily feedback to the Head of Year and Deputy Head Pupil support.
