We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to provide advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for individuals with complex communication and swallowing needs. This role requires a deep understanding of specialised therapies and a commitment to delivering personalised care.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients with complex communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Developing and implementing individualised therapy plans based on assessment findings and client needs.
  • Providing specialised therapy interventions for both children and adults, including those with neurological conditions, developmental disorders, and acquired communication difficulties.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, occupational therapists, and social workers, to ensure holistic care.
  • Offering guidance and support to junior therapists and therapy assistants, including supervision and mentorship.
  • Delivering training and workshops to colleagues and community groups on topics related to speech and language therapy.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and progress.
  • Staying current with the latest research and advancements in the field of speech and language therapy.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Extensive experience in speech and language therapy, with a focus on complex cases.
  • Demonstrated expertise in specialised assessment and intervention techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in providing supervision and mentorship to less experienced therapists.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
