Job Title: Sub Agent
Location: Hull (A63 Major Highway Scheme)
Rate: 475 - 525 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Until February 2025
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Sub Agent to join our team on a major highway scheme in Hull, working on the A63 infrastructure project. This is a key role, where you will be responsible for overseeing a range of civil engineering tasks with a particular focus on reinforced concrete structures, including overpasses, underpasses, and other major structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage reinforced concrete works, including the construction of underpasses, overpasses, and other related structures.
- Ensure all works are delivered in line with project specifications, quality standards, and health & safety regulations.
- Provide daily supervision and coordination of site activities, ensuring smooth project delivery on time and within budget.
- Liaise with the site team, subcontractors, and external stakeholders to manage resources effectively and resolve any technical or logistical issues.
- Maintain detailed and accurate site records, including progress reports and site diaries.
- Assist the Site Agent in the delivery of the project, ensuring compliance with design, method statements, and risk assessments.
- Ensure all materials, labor, and plant are efficiently managed and controlled on site.
Essential Requirements:
- Strong background in reinforced concrete construction and civil engineering structures.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, including overpasses, underpasses, and bridgeworks.
- Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation in a construction setting.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage site teams and coordinate with project stakeholders.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and experience in maintaining project documentation.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- CSCS card.
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) qualification.
- Temporary works certification (advantageous).
Additional Information:
- This role is inside IR35.
- The contract runs until February 2025 with a competitive daily rate between 475 and 525.
- Candidates must be prepared to work in Hull and have experience on major highway schemes.
