Consortium Professional Recruitment are working exclusively with a company who are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Cargo Quality and Claims Specialist, to join their dynamic logistics team. In this key role, you will ensure cargo integrity across the supply chain and lead the investigation, resolution, and prevention of cargo damage or loss claims. Your expertise will play a vital role in upholding service standards and strengthening relationships with clients, carriers, and insurers.Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage cargo quality control processes from origin to destination
  • Investigate cargo damage, loss, or quality discrepancies, and manage claims accordingly
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, carriers, and insurers regarding cargo claims
  • Gather and analyse documentation to support claim resolutions
  • Develop reports and trend analysis to identify recurring issues and drive process improvement
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to prevent future incidents
  • Ensure all claim handling processes are compliant with relevant regulations and contractual obligations
What We’re Looking For:
  • Previous experience in cargo claims, quality control, freight forwarding or supply chain logistics
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Proficient in using cargo or logistics software and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of insurance policies, and international trade regulations is a plus
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Must be willing to travel overseas frequently
  • Due to the nature of the role, a valid UK passport is required for international travel and specific compliance protocols
