Our client, a distinguished entity in the manufacturing and engineering sectors, is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Hull. The role involves on-site work, with flexibility around working hours, and is conveniently located within walking distance from Hull station.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and conduct site maintenance activities, ensuring minimal downtime and consistent performance
  • Develop and implement comprehensive site maintenance procedures
  • Ensure all site equipment is compliant with safety legislations, testing, and inspections
  • Analyse and resolve issues through root cause analysis and fault-finding techniques
  • Perform equipment repair as required and maintain detailed records
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
  • Support project plans, including site preparation work, equipment installation, commissioning, and technical training
  • Collaborate with teams to support repairs as needed
Job Requirements:
  • Experience in mechanical engineering and manufacturing, particularly with extrusion processes
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and operational efficiency
  • Experience in injection moulding is advantageous
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach
