Lab Technician (Design and Technology) – Secondary School (Hull)

Salary: £89 – £125 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a skilled and reliable Design and Technology Lab Technician to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Hull. This is a full-time opportunity, ideal for someone with practical workshop skills and a passion for supporting students in a creative learning environment.

Prepare and maintain tools, equipment, and materials for D&T lessons

Support teachers in delivering practical lessons safely and effectively

Ensure the workshop complies with all health & safety standards

Operate and maintain machinery including the band saw and other power tools

Assist students with practical tasks, offering guidance where appropriate

Previous experience working in a Design & Technology environment
- COSHH and other qualifications that are applicable.

Confidence operating workshop machinery, including band saws

Good knowledge of health & safety in a school/workshop setting

Strong organisational and communication skills

An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through GSL Education)
