As a Deputy Manager, you will:

  • Monitor the wellbeing of residents and ensure their personal and social care needs are met.
  • Provide leadership and management to staff, including conducting supervisions and supporting team development.
  • Promote independence and wellbeing among residents.
  • Ensure compliance with care standards and safeguarding regulations.
  • Work 40 hours per week, mainly 9am to 5pm, with every other weekend and 16 hours supernumerary.

The ideal Deputy Manager will have:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Deputy or Senior Care Assistant in residential care homes for older people.
  • A strong understanding of the Care Standards Act 2000, Key Lines of Enquiry, Safeguarding, and the Mental Capacity Act (MCA).
  • A commitment to putting people first and promoting their wellbeing.
