AFF is a dynamic SME, specialising in assisting motorists who have mis-fuelled their vehicle, or run out of charge in their EV. We are proud to be the preferred supplier of these niche automotive services to the some of largest insurance businesses in the UK.
Our long term bookkeeper is soon to retire and as as result we are hiring. As AFF's bookkeeper, you will help us in recording and maintaining daily financial transactions, performing reconciliations, preparing financial statements and closing books, running payroll, collecting debts and making payments. You will be working from our offices in Hungerford, 5 days per week.
Bookkeeper Responsibilities
? Documenting financial processes, policies & maintaining up-to-date procedures of key bookkeeping tasks and responsibilities.
? Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software
? Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
? Maintaining a balanced general ledger
? Completing VAT returns
? Preparation of budgets and monitoring for variance
? Developing & maintaining monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheets
? Preparing employee wages & managing employee expense claims
? Any other tasks as reasonably directed
Bookkeeper Educational Qualifications
? AAT or CIMA qualifications desirable
? Previous bookkeeping experience preferred
Skills Required
? Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
? Confident in Microsoft Excel and Office products
? Attention to detail
? Able to work independently
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to £30,000.00 per year

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
