A management accountant is required for a 6 month, fixed term contract to support the integration of a recently acquired business. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the management accountant will be responsible for the preparation of management accounts and several other reports, whilst working closely with budget holders to provide analysis. This role combines financial, analytical and management skills to aid management with decision making.Duties include;* Month end review and reporting, including P&L and Balance Sheet* Control and preparation of general ledger entries including prepayments, accruals, deferred income, and allocations* Support Cashflow reporting, forecasting and monitoring* Own the month-end actuals process for the various lines, ensuring accurate financial statements and providing insightful commentary on variances to Budget and Last Year* Collaborate with Budget Holders to manage costs, reviewing spend regularly and challenging where necessary to keep  costs within Budget* Support Budget Holders by providing ad hoc analysis to help them understand their spend and identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency* Assist in managing the Group budget, accurately tracking spend and headcount* Prepare monthly forecasts and annual budgets for the business areas and provide reporting on actuals vs. Budget and Last YearInterested candidates should be qualified - CIMA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent, coupled with relevant experience. In addition, you will possess experience of working with an ERP system, coupled with strong Excel skills.This role is due to start imminently, so you will be available at short notice.In return, a competitive salary and benefits package is offered, including; life assurance, income protection, pension.
