We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Multi Trade Operative to join part of their highly successful repairs and maintenance team working within the social housing industry.
Requirements:
Full UK Driving Licence
Own hand and power tools
Ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining high standard
Good inter-personal and customer facing skills
Available to work Monday to Friday 8am 5pm
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver efficient repairs and maintenance services
Carry out repairs and maintenance in accordance with current Building Regulations, Health and Safety Legislation and Association timescales
Submit detailed reports/photos upon completion of every job via a mobile device
To ensure that repairs are completed within the target response times to a high standard to meet the expectations of the organisation and residents.
Identify and diagnose faults and rectify first time wherever possible
Ensure that all stock that is issued and any materials used are done so in a cost-effective way without compromising work standards
Ensure that all equipment and van stock is replenished when required
Make sure stock is kept to agreed quantities at all times and accounted for at all times during van checks/audits
Order own materials (that are not part of van stock) and be prepared to pick it up from the suppliers direct
Ensure all scheduled work is completed at the end of each day and emergency jobs and additional works are dealt with effectively before the end of each day
Ensure all jobs are processed in real time via mobile device
Identify and diagnose faults and advise appropriate measures as required and rectified first time wherever possible
There is a need to be particularly sensitive to the needs of tenants who have support needs or are deemed vulnerable
Person Specification:
Possess a relevant trade qualification and/or experience in the following;
Carpentry, Painting, Plastering, Tiling, Plumbing, Knowledge of basic electrics, Flooring, Window and door repairs.
Recognised trade qualifications such as City and Guilds or NVQ level 2 and 3
Experience of a range of repairs and maintenance work within social housing, preferred but not essential
Previous experience of PDA use
