A secondary school in Redbridge are looking for a SEND Inclusion officer who would work in a middle leadership capacity within an Alternative Resourced Provision.

Job Responsibilities
- Follow the SEND code of practice and have a good understanding of teaching and learning for SEND students
- Working with internal and external divisions to ensure best practices and referrals are being made and followed up as required for students
- Follow planning with year group/subject leaders and monitor the class and behaviour
- Hold meetings with students and parents to ensure that everybody has a clear understanding of expectations and requirements for learning
- Report to senior leaders and liaise with teachers regarding any safeguarding matters
- Manage and evaluate the outcomes of intervention programmes and support for children with Special Educational Needs.
- To lead in the promotion of a professional, caring, and supportive atmosphere with the school.
Preferred Skills:
- Hold a teaching qualification and have SEND experience
- SENDCo qualification is desirable but not essential
- Have experience of working with children in a Secondary school setting
- Have good behaviour management
- Hold a valid DBS or apply for one
