Chef De Partie Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute daily tasks related to the preparation and cooking of menu items, ensuring each dish is crafted to the highest standards against company specifications
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and team to contribute suggestions to seasonal menu items that reflect the restaurant's commitment to quality and local sourcing
  • Take charge of a particular section of the kitchen, managing all aspects from mise en place to cooking and presentation
  • Maintain Standards: Uphold strict hygiene and cleanliness standards in the kitchen, following all regulatory health and safety guidelines
  • Assist in maintaining kitchen inventory by ensuring supplies are adequately stocked and stored properly when used
  • Contribute to the training and development of junior kitchen staff where required

Chef De Partie Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • You should have a strong desire to refine your culinary skills and broaden your knowledge of different cuisines
  • Prior experience as a Chef de Partie in a similar environment, demonstrating capability and familiarity with high-quality culinary operations
  • Attention to detail is critical, ensuring that every dish meets the exacting standards of quality and presentation
  • Must work well within a team, showing enthusiasm and a collaborative spirit in a busy kitchen setting
  • Capable of confidently managing a kitchen section, leading junior staff, and maintaining workflow during peak times
  • A can-do approach to all tasks, whether creating dishes or performing routine kitchen duties
