About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical QA/QC Engineer to join our dynamic team on a contract basis for a new build gas turbine power plant project located in South Killingholme, Immingham. As we enter the critical electrical install phase, your expertise in the erection of transformers, installation of switch-gear and cable installation will be pivotal to ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and ensure the quality of electrical installations, including the erection of transformers and cable installations.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement QA/QC plans and procedures specific to the electrical install phase.
  • Identify, document, and track non-conformances, and work with the project team to resolve issues promptly.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure QA/QC standards are met.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed QA/QC records and reports.
  • Participate in regular project meetings and provide QA/QC updates.
  • Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are adhered to during electrical installations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical QA/QC Engineer, ideally within the power plant construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid certifications in QA/QC processes and safety standards are a plus.
