Brook Street Recruitment is excited to collaborate with a leading contractor in the North of Scotland, who are currently looking to recruit an HR Advisor to join their expanding Compliance Team. This position will be based in their modern offices in Inverness.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR Advisor aiming to develop their career. The role involves overseeing the growth and development of a junior team member while managing day-to-day HR responsibilities within the business. Additionally, there will be opportunities to work closely with the Senior HR team within the parent company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate record-keeping in HR systems while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection standards.
  • Take a proactive, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving, demonstrating ownership and accountability.
  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Input and update data in databases and spreadsheets.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management, multitasking, and adaptability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Maintain employee records, including status changes and updates.
  • Contribute to team goals by accomplishing relevant tasks.
  • Conduct job analysis, including preparing task lists, person specifications, and job descriptions.
  • Contribute to company accreditation audits.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the overall business goals.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing grievances, demands, and other concerns.
  • Oversee the on boarding process.
  • Support the ongoing development, engagement, and retention of talent to meet current and future business needs.
  • Develop and monitor HR strategies, systems, and procedures across the organisation.
  • Foster a positive working environment.
  • Provide management with decision support using HR metrics.
  • Ensure legal compliance in all HR practices.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential.
  • CIPD qualification is preferred but not required.
  • The role is primarily on-site, with an option for a four-day working week, if necessary.
