Award winning global logistics company are seeking an experienced Project Logistics Specialist to join their team in Ipswich.

You will be joining the team in the project department to lease with their customers on cargo that doesnt suit standard transport equipment! So, youll need to be a fantastic problem solver and used to coming up with solutions for abnormal loads.


Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Start to finish operational co-ordination of project shipments including OOG, RORO, special equipment and breakbulk by ocean freight and road freight for import, export, and cross trade movements.

Where required, providing best solutions and quotations for shipment modes mentioned above to our customers, including commercial, agent and internal.

Coordination of documents as required including letters of credit, export licenses, certificates of origin

Carrying out export customs clearance

Use of the Sapphire system to manage bookings, raise quotations, manage invoicing and other tasks (training to be provided)

Responsible as part of the team for maintaining the departments AEO/ISO/customs compliance and highlighting areas for improvement

Responsible as part of the team for the implementation and management of SOPs

Building and maintaining client relations for new and continued business with customers and suppliers

Out of hours work where needed to ensure successful outcomes

It should be expected that additional aspects may be included as the role evolves to make the most of your experience and skillset, aiding your own development and that of the team.


Experience/Skills Required

Knowledge of abnormal loads / out of gauge cargo

Performing Export CDS Customs clearances

Competence in handling/submitting letter of credit documentation, certificates, certificates of origin

Understanding of AEO Procedures

General Customs Compliance

Understanding of Inco Terms
