Business Development Manager

Location: Ipswich base (can be based anywhere in the UK with WFH)Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to drive business growth.
  • Identify new business opportunities and work towards achieving sales targets.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure the highest level of service is provided to all customers.
  • Travel to visit clients one to two days per week to strengthen client relationships and expand business opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A proven track record in sales, with specific experience in European road freight, short sea, shipping, or freight forwarding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong customer focus with the capability to build and maintain lasting relationships with clients.
  • Willingness to travel for client visits and a commitment to delivering results.
