Data Engineer

I am looking for a Data Engineer to join a growing technology function with the goal of aiding with the ongoing development of the data analytics solution based on the cloud. You will ensure that data is readily available for the wider team to create actionable insights to aid business performance.

You will join a growing team in an award winning organisation who are looking to promote data-driven decision making across the organisation. The organisation have developed a strong team of ambitious and driven IT professionals where you will be encouraged to meet your personal development goals.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for some of the following areas.

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines to ensure data is transformed and stored ready for reporting
  • Manage the organisation data storage systems including both on-prem and cloud based data warehouses
  • Automate and streamline data workflows
  • Collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the business to understand their data needs

To be successful in this role you will have.

  • Strong coding experience with SQL, Python and PySpark
  • Experience creating ETL pipelines with Azure Data Factory
  • Understanding and experience developing and maintaining cloud datawarehouses
  • Experience with MS Fabric would be beneficial

The team working in a flexible manor with travel to the company office in Ipswich required on an ad-hoc basis. The team enjoy meeting together to collaborate and share ideas on major projects, so you will be encouraged to attend team meetings in order to build an affective working relationship with your peers.
