About the role:
As an HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our employees thrive in a supportive and compliant environment. Reporting directly to the Head of HR, you will manage complex employee relations casework while collaborating with the HR team to align our workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation. Your hands-on approach will be essential during our bustling seasonal turkey campaign, where your adaptability and commitment will shine. In this role, you will be working the core hours of 8:30am – 5pm, Monday - Friday, and you may be required to work additional hours to support the business.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Manage complex employee relations casework, including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, retirement, and redundancy processes.
- Provide expert advice to managers on employment terms and conditions, while sharing best practises to enhance performance.
- Collaborate with the HR Manager for Farms and the HR Admin team to ensure fair and consistent decision-making across the business.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to minimise disputes and drive organisational performance.
- Provide first-line advice on current employee benefits to managers and staff.
- Liaise with payroll to ensure accurate reflection of HR changes.
- Support recruitment processes, including crafting job descriptions and interview preparations.
- Support with arrangements for new starter inductions and support talent and succession planning initiatives. Contribute to change management processes and implement specific HR projects to align with company objectives.
About you:
You will need 3-5 five years of generalist HR experience along with a CIPD qualification (minimum level 5) this is essential. Ideally you will need a background in a fast-paced factory production environment as well as strong communication skills. You will be working with various nationalities across the Company. You demonstrate exceptional organisational capabilities, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude. Your ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion is critical, to fostering a positive work culture. You thrive as a team player and take the initiative to guide and support managers through change, giving them the confidence to face it.
