A client of ours in the Ipswich area are recruiting a Logistics Coordinator to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm and paying 30,000 - 33,710 per annum depending on experience.
Please note that this role will initially be located in Ipswich but will then be transferred to Stowmarket.
Key Duties include but are not limited to:
- Prepare orders and coordinate with departments/warehouses
- Book transport, assess service needs, and raise picking orders
- Upload POD and input data accurately
- Confirm schedules, vehicle types, and bookings
- Assisting any delivery/collection issues
- Monitoring all deliveries are completed, on time and correctly
- Communicate proactively with customers
- Handle delivery delays and future orders
- Share info between customers and teams
- Handle calls, emails, scanning, and filing
- Report issues to management
- Maintain standards, meet deadlines, and be flexible with hours
- Report security concerns and monitor reception cover
Skills and Experience required to be considered for Logistics Coordinator position:
- Strong organisational skills
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK and Europe
- Good understanding of logistics processes
- Excellent communication skills
- Advanced computer literacy skills
- Flexible and adaptable approach
- Logistics distribution and supply chain experience essential.
