Transport Coordinator

A client of ours in the Ipswich area are recruiting a Transport Coordinator to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm and paying 28,000 - 33,000 per annum depending on experience.
Please note that this role will initially be located in Ipswich but will then be transferred to Stowmarket.
Key Duties include but are not limited to:
- Prepare vehicle movement orders and coordinate with internal departments and external warehouses for order picking and delivery.
- Manage external transport hauliers, confirm delivery schedules, vehicle types, and services required.
- Raise warehouse picking orders and upload Proof of Delivery to the system.
- Input data accurately.
- Drive continuous process improvements.
- Handle delivery and collection issues, ensuring on time and correct deliveries.
- Book all delivery requirements.
- Communicate with customers regarding delivery confirmations, delays and future orders.
- Share information between customers and internal departments.
Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Transport Coordinator position:
- Previous Transport, Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain industry experience
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK
- Experience in dealing with hauliers/haulage
- Advanced computer literacy
