Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Administrator to join the vibrant and fast-paced Payroll Team for our client. This permanent role is based in Ipswich with a leading company renowned for delivering innovative, award-winning services. If you have a keen eye for detail, a proactive attitude, and experience in payroll processes, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do:
  • Process payroll for one of our divisions and assist with other payrolls as needed.
  • Verify new starter details on payroll software, allocate correct tax codes, and manage Student/Post Graduate Loans if applicable.
  • Process leaver records in the HR and Payroll systems, and issue P45s.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of all authorised amendments to the payroll system, including holiday, sickness, maternity, and paternity payments.
  • Prepare reports relating to payments of statutory deductions to third parties, complying with deadlines.
  • Provide payroll-related information and guidance to employees and managers to solve queries promptly.
  • Offer administrative support with ad hoc projects and information requests as required.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, with a passion for getting things right the first time.
  • A “can do” attitude, flexible approach to change, and a desire to learn new skills and systems.
  • Experience in a Payroll environment with a basic understanding of PAYE, NI, AE pension, HMRC statutory payments, Student Loans, and rewards and benefits.
  • Minimum 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) including English and Maths at grades C or higher.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook (ideally able to do v-lookups and pivot tables).
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
