Procurement Administrator£26,000 per annumMonday – Friday, 39 hours per weekPermanentNear Stowmarket On behalf of our client based near Stowmarket, we are searching for a Procurement Administrator to join their welcoming team. The successful candidate will be liaising with colleagues from various departments to place orders, handle questions and queries and chase suppliers. They will be able to use own initiative and show confidence when working as part of a wider team. Previous experience with Sage 200 is desirable, however, training will be provided. Due to the nature of this position, a driver’s licence and access to own vehicle is essential.  Main Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Inputting and maintaining data on the company database
  • General administrative duties, offering support to the department (including maintenance support)
  • Updating records regularly and accurately, ensuring changes are communicated to the relevant team, and deadlines are met
  • Delivering accurate and punctual information to the relevant departments/project teams
  • Adhering to the company procedures, regulations, and policies
  • Collaborating with colleagues to identify cost-effective opportunities
  • Providing coverage for the Senior Procurement Manager during their absence
  • Chasing outstanding orders daily
  Key Skills: 
  • Demonstrates time-management, prioritisation, and adapts to flexibility of workload
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Able to use own initiative but also as part of a team, ensuring professionalism is maintained
  • Previous experience on Sage 200 is beneficial
  • Confident when using new database systems – will easily adapt to the structure of this position
