- Eden Recruitment Solutions Ltd T/A Just Temps is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist and Material Planner for a client in Sudbury, Suffolk.
- The position offers a negotiable salary based on experience and requires working hours from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Material Planner role or 7 years in a Supply Chain Management Specialist role.
- Key responsibilities include managing material supply, inventory levels, and supplier relations, as well as supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Qualifications include A-level education, a degree or HNC preferred, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Working Hours and Rate of Pay:
- Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm.
- Salary negotiable based on experience.
Main Duties to Include:
-Manage the supply of materials required to manufacture all instruments, consumables and spares ensuring maximum customer service whilst optimizing inventory levels.
-Review safety stock levels
-Manage supplier portals.
-Review & update schedule agreements
-Create & maintain purchase orders, inventory schedules, coordinating with internal departments & managing external stakeholder relations.
-Purchase Order Management - expedites/de-expedites
-Purchase Order acknowledgements, arrears & late deliveries
-Manage inventory issues and schedule changes.
-Review missing component analysis, raise escalations & coordinate resolution to support production.
-Liaise with customers & suppliers.
-Review & resolve invoice queries.
-Support stock at vendor process.
-Actively improve Supply Chain Scorecard metrics.
-Create & maintain SAP material master data and purchase information records ensuring accuracy of information.
-Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes & take responsibility for implementation.
-Support Lean/Kaizen events.
-Update & prepare reports & KPI's.
-Effectively use manufacturing tools & systems (SQDIP, CAPA/IR's, SAP, Doc control)
-Actively use problem solving tools
-Update procedures and documents and make amendments when necessary.
Qualifications and skills Required:
- A- level educated if applicable, Degree/HNC preferable
- Experience in 5S/Lean/ Kaizen tools.
- Competent in Microsoft office applications.
- Material Planner- min 3 years in a similar role.
- SCM Specialist- min 7 years in a similar role.
