Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with an NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years to join a welcoming primary school in Isleworth, TW7. This full-time role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on the development of young children in an inclusive and supportive environment.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work within the school's Early Years provision, providing 1:1 support for a child with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a school setting, particularly working with children with SEN, and will bring compassion, patience, and a genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support for a child with SEN in the Early Years setting.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and supportive learning activities.
  • Help manage the child's emotional and behavioural needs, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Foster a positive, nurturing environment that encourages learning and development.
  • Collaborate with the school's SEN team, parents, and other professionals to implement and monitor individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Support the wider Early Years provision when necessary.

Requirements:

  • NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years (or equivalent qualification).
  • Proven experience working with SEN children in a primary school setting.
  • A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to adapt and respond to the needs of individual children.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and procedures in schools.
