About The Role

Reporting to the Site Technical Manager, you’ll play a critical role in overseeing and guiding the technical team across all departments. Your focus will be on driving compliance with Myton Food Group's manufacturing standards and technical procedures while leading the team to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure food safety, legality, quality, and integrity for all our customers and brands, maintaining compliance with legal, BRC, and MMS standards
  • Lead the investigation and reporting of adverse microbiological results, implementing corrective actions where required
  • Oversee and manage product information through the M-Create portal
  • Take ownership of the site HACCP Plan, ensuring it is effective and up to date
  • Provide expert advice and support to colleagues on technical and compliance-related issues
  • Develop, implement, and maintain technical policies and procedures applicable to the site
  • Proactively manage site trends and risks, ensuring early intervention and resolution
  • Play an instrumental role in achieving and maintaining site accreditations
  • Manage the internal audit process and oversee site process validations and document control systems
  • Collate and analyse site information for weekly, monthly, and yearly reporting purposes.

About You
As well as the ability to work at pace, you will also need to have:

  • Relevant experience or a degree in science, food technology, chemistry, microbiology, engineering, manufacturing or business
  • Knowledge of safety, legality, compliance and quality across supply chain and produce range           
  • Previous experience/knowledge of high risk coupled with thermal processing knowledge/experience
  • Strong analytical and decision making skills
  • Excellent communication skills and solution focussed problem solver
  • A proven track record of people management and delivering strong results through a team in a people management role
