We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team at Teconnex Ltd. Teconnex is part of the Hexadex group of companies and is a a Leading Global manufacturing organisation.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.

The role includes delivery of timely and accurate payroll processes and payments to on-payroll staff. Management of tax and benefits deductions, maintenance of payroll records, and ensuring the fulfilment of regulatory compliance requirements.

Overview of role

  • Maintain, validate and process a monthly payroll of approximately 300 hourly paid and salaried employees.
  • Validate statutory payments, attachment of earnings, and similar items.
  • Arrange BACS payments for payroll, pension, PAYE, NI and other associated items.
  • Liaise with line leaders and other departments regarding payroll queries.
  • Liaise with internal and external contacts to provide information in support of payments to external agency staff.
  • Assist in processing starters and leavers in the business.
  • Administer pensions auto-enrolment, and ad-hoc changes.
  • Administer new tax codes and changes to pay rates.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of any deferred amounts payable to staff, HMRC, pensions etc.

About you

  • Proven hands-on experience, with full responsibility of end-to-end payroll processes
  • Good level of familiarity and detailed understanding of integrated payroll systems.
  • Integrated Time & Attendance and payroll systems, would be advantageous
  • Interest in participating in other areas of finance, as part of a collaborate wider team
  • Holds a Recognised payroll certifications or evidence of formal training an advantage, but not essential.
  • Holds a recognised general accounting certifications or evidence of formal training an advantage, but not essential.

Hours of work Monday to Thursday 8.15am to 5pm - 3.30pm finish Friday
