We are seeking a passionate Group Finance Director to drive financial strategy, maintain robust financial controls, and deliver high-quality reporting for a leading company in the digital sector. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded, technically strong finance professional to influence key business decisions and ensure sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute financial strategies in line with business goals. Act as a trusted partner to the senior management team to guide decision-making.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead comprehensive forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning, ensuring alignment with strategic growth objectives.
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with IFRS/UK GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Controls & Compliance: Establish and maintain a robust internal control environment. Ensure financial systems, policies, and procedures meet compliance standards and best practices.
  • Commercial Insights: Provide insightful analysis to support business performance and profitability improvements. Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost optimisation.
  • Cash Flow & Capital Management: Monitor liquidity and working capital, manage financial risks, and optimise capital structure.
  • Investor Relations: Alongside the CFO, build and maintain strong relationships with investors and stakeholders, communicating financial performance clearly and confidently.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions: Manage financial due diligence and post-acquisition integration to drive strategic value.
  • Tax & Compliance: Ensure efficient tax planning and full compliance with relevant tax regulations.
  • Systems & Process Enhancement: Lead the development and optimisation of financial systems and processes to support accurate reporting and scalable growth.

About You:You are a commercially astute finance leader with a strong technical foundation and a strategic mindset. Your ability to lead both operational finance functions and provide insightful commercial advice sets you apart as a trusted partner to the business.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • ACA qualified with extensive post-qualification experience
  • Strong technical expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and control frameworks (IFRS/UK GAAP)
  • Proven experience in senior financial leadership within fast-growing, entrepreneurial environments, ideally in tech or digital sectors
  • Strong financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting capabilities
  • Track record of delivering accurate and insightful reporting to senior stakeholders
  • Experience in developing and implementing effective financial controls and processes
  • Proficiency with modern financial software and ERP systems
  • Leadership skills with a history of building and managing high-performing teams
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Experience in M&A, fundraising, or international finance is a plus
