The Estimator will perform take-offs, bills of quantities, cost plans, and tenders for various clients, including subcontractors and developers.
Daily tasks include completing tenders based on architectural and engineering drawings, and establishing connections with suppliers and subcontractors.
Candidates must have at least 5 years of relevant experience in the building industry and be highly organized and deadline-driven.

Role Description

The Resolute Group is working in partnership with a construction-based firm based within the midlands, Kettering region who are expanding their commercial team by on boarding an Estimator.

As an Estimator, you will be tasked to carry out take-offs, bills of quantities, cost plans and tenders for a range of clients including, sub-contractors, developers and private clients. In addition, you will assist reviewing residential and commercial projects with new and existing clients.

Day to day duties will vary but could include:

Completing tenders on behalf of clients based on architectural, structure engineer, and specialist drawings, plans and specifications.
Establishing connections with various individuals across the tendering process including suppliers, subcontractors and specialists to allow collaboration.
Perform accurate take-offs for various residential and commercial projects, utilising measuring take-off tools and software for precision.
Supporting the estimating and managing director as required.
Discussing and establishing potential value engineering regarding projects to aid clients in meeting budgets.

Qualifications / Experience

Previous industry experiences working within the building industry (e.g., residential, commercial, building merchant etc.,).
Holding relevant experience amounting to a minimum of 5 years' experience.
Deadline-driven, highly organised and proficient with industry trends and regulations.
Effectively managing multiple projects.
