Our established client based in Kettering is recruiting an Estimator on a permanent basis to create and complete quotes in a timely manner based on a weekly priority list, making sure to adhere to company processes, procedures and standards to ensure that clients' requirements and timescales are achieved.

Duties:
  • Responding to email queries and problems applicable to own competency level and escalatingwhere necessary to relevant departmental manager.
  • Liaising with colleagues internally and external companies in a professional manner.
  • Reviewing quote requirements and requesting additional information if required.
  • Reviewing asset plans of existing utilities and developers technical drawings.
  • Reviewing Electricity Point of connection plans and offer letters.
  • Reviewing Water terms and plans.
  • Completing Water, Gas and Electricity network studies.
  • Producing Multi Utility cost models and proposal letters in a timely manner.
  • Reviewing and producing re-quotes and variations according to Developer requests.
  • Providing regular updates to the Tendering Manager and Business Development Managers to meet a weekly priority list.
  • Reviewing colleagues work so that constructive feedback can be provided.
  • Chasing clients and updating trackers.
  • Undertake the electronic filing regularly to ensure all correspondence is available and can be easily found.
About you ...
  • A basic understanding of utilities and tendering.- ideally
  • Understanding of Microsoft office packages including Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD would be required.

Experience:
  • Previous experience in an Administration/office role would be required.
  • Experience using AutoCAD would be required at a basic level.
  • Previous experience in a Project Management role/environment would be useful.
