  • Working hours are Monday to Friday from 9am to 5:30pm, with a hybrid working model after the training period, allowing 3 days in the office.

We are currently supporting the recruitment of a Payroll Technician for our client based in Kettering. Our client works with SME organisation’s to deliver both HR and payroll services across the UK. They pride themselves on providing exceptional payroll services to a diverse portfolio of clients and are seeking someone passionate about accuracy and efficiency to help deliver outstanding results.

 

  • Up to £30,000

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Processing end-to-end payroll for a variety of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant legislation (e.g., RTI, PAYE, National Insurance).
  • Managing client queries and providing excellent customer service.
  • Calculating statutory payments (SMP, SSP, SPP, etc.) and processing pension payments
  • Processing starters, leavers, and amendments
  • Maintaining accurate payroll records
  • Keeping up to date with changes in payroll legislation
  • Using Sage payroll software  


Skills and experience required:

  • Previous experience of completing end to end payroll (practice or Bureau experience desirable but not essential)
  • Experience of payroll software – Sage Payroll being advantageous and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables & VLOOKUPs)
  • A strong team ethic with good communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to organise and prioritise tasks to demanding deadlines
  • Pro-active approach to responding to client queries
