The charity's mission is to protect these historic buildings, ensuring they remain accessible and engaging for future generations. Through educational programs, exhibitions, and events, bringing history to life, offering visitors a chance to explore the rich heritage of the British past.Your new roleThis charity is looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis for around 3 months. This will be to help them through a busy year-end period. The role will be fully in the office for around two weeks, then become hybrid with working hours of 8am-4pm. The role will have a rate of £14 - £17 per hour. Duties and responsibilities:

  • Processing invoices.
  • Ensure that all invoices/credit notes procedures, policies and timetables are in line with revenue and customs regulations.
  • Prepare for biweekly payment runs.
  • Managing AP inbox and registering invoices and credit notes.
  • Working with the AP team on identifying invoices and payments in dispute. Including credit note processing and all entries with dispute codes.
  • Managing AR e-mails for Bounce backs, Manual payments, Foreign payments and Direct debits.
  • Adhoc processing of utility invoices.
  • Checking supplier statements.
  • Working as part of a team managing procurement card expenditure. Including statements, reconciliations and card management for charities and enterprises.

What you'll need to succeed

  • At least two years previous experience in a similar role.
  • Intermediate Excel skills: Vlookups and Pivot tables.
  • Experience with Efinancials (preferred).
  • Excellent communication.
