We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team across three locations: Wandsworth, Merton, and Kingston. This role is crucial in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN), helping them overcome challenges and achieve their educational goals.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance to participate fully in classroom activities.
  • Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of each student.
  • Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to education and development.
  • Assist in the development of social skills and independence among students through supportive interactions and activities.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents to help evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with SEN responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a dedicated approach to student development.
