SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School - Kingston-Upon-Thames - ASAP start

We require SEN Teaching Assistants to work with students who require one to one support and are aged between 4-11 years old.

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

Working hours: 8.00am - 4:15 pm Mon-Fri

Salary information: £90 - £105 per day

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Kingston-Upon-Thames

The SEN Teaching Assistant role will involve:

• Providing 1:1 support and reading

• Providing high quality classroom support as required

• Accompanying trips

• Meeting and accompanying Pupils from the coaches each morning and afternoon

• Any other Associated Teaching Assistant duties, as required

• 8.30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

• ASAP start

SEN Teaching Assistants who apply should have:

  • A sound knowledge of Literacy and Numeracy
  • A good educational background (CACHE L3 or above such as a degree) - ideally Psychology, Education and Childhood related degrees
  • A desire for with working with students with moderate and complex learning difficulties
  • Previous experience is desirable although consideration will be given to applicants with relevant skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for supporting children and their learning
  • The ability to work well on your own and as part of a team
  • A positive attitude and sense of humour
  • A willingness to learn new skills
  • A willingness to undertake personal care of pupils
  • The successful applicant must have a high standard of written and spoken English
