Credit Controller

Location: DerbySalary: £28,000 - £29,000Contract Type: Full Time, FTC

Role OverviewA fantastic client of mine is looking for a Credit Controller to be responsible for managing the credit control process for a portfolio of clients. Your goal will be to ensure debt collection is timely, aged debt is minimised, and client concerns are resolved effectively. This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your credit control expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively collect debts and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Focus on reducing aged debt, particularly 180 days and older.
  • Liaise with Account Managers as needed to facilitate prompt issue resolution.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date notes and manage diary entries effectively.
  • Provide weekly updates to the Credit Manager on debt status and actions taken.
  • Submit requests through transaction management as necessary.

Requirements

  • Credit control experience; experience in property credit control is advantageous but not essential.
  • Highly organised, able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A fast learner with strong initiative and attention to detail.
