Part-Qualified AccountantLancaster | Paying £27,000

Are you a Part-Qualified Accountant looking for an opportunity to grow and take on more responsibility? Would you like a hybrid role that offers flexibility and a great work-life balance, working with a well-established accountancy practice that truly values its people?

In this role, you’ll support a range of clients, ensuring accounts, tax, and VAT returns are prepared accurately while developing your expertise within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review self-assessment tax returns and corporation tax returns
  • Provide basic personal and corporate tax advice
  • Finalise annual and corporation accounts
  • Ensure the team meets monthly KPIs (bank reconciliations, VAT & payroll)
  • Handle HMRC queries and correspondence on behalf of clients
  • Oversee and review VAT returns
  • Attend client meetings to provide guidance and support
  • Work closely with senior managers and report on personal and team performance
  • Assist in maintaining high-quality client service to support business growth and retention
  • Act as an ambassador for the company, promoting professional standards and continuous improvement

Your Profile:

  • Studying towards ACA or ACCA
  • Strong attention to detail with a motivated and enthusiastic approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in IT, including Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of company and personal taxation, including VAT preparation
