A well established, vibrant and welcoming school nursery, providing high-quality care and early years education to children aged 2-4 years are looking for a permanent Level 3 Early Years Practitioner.

Job Role

As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in:

  • Providing a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for the children.
  • Planning and implementing a range of creative activities to promote the development of each child in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Observing and assessing children's development, maintaining accurate records of progress.
  • Working closely with parents and carers, sharing updates on children's progress.
  • Supporting the team to ensure high standards of care and education are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging activities tailored to the needs and interests of the children.
  • Ensure safeguarding and health and safety policies are adhered to at all times.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  • Contribute to team meetings, planning, and ongoing development of the nursery.
  • Promote inclusion and support individual learning needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare/Early Years - Essential
  • Knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development.
  • Experience working in an early years setting.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A caring and patient nature, with a passion for working with children.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
