Reed Procurement and Supply Chain are exclusively representing our highly prestigious client who are seeking an experienced Logistics and Transport Manager to oversee their daily distribution operations at their facility near Lancaster. The Logistics and Transport Manager will ensure that all orders are transported accurately and delivered on time, playing a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of distribution processes.
** The role can be hybrid 2 days per week **
Some of the roles and responsibilities include:
- Take ownership of and responsibility for the onward delivery processes.
- Maintain up-to-date transparency of all distribution needs within the team.
- Provide business updates on consignments to support revenue recognition.
- Manage a team of 2, overseeing their daily tasks and ensuring team efficiency.
- Liaise with customers to understand and meet their transportation and documentation requirements.
- Ensure goods are commercially clear and compliant.
- Handle escalations and resolve any issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience leading a team.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of dangerous goods.
- Analytical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise within a multifunctional role.
- Strong communication skills, both internally and externally.
- High standard of computer literacy, fully competent in Microsoft 365.
