SEN Teacher - Lancaster:
Prospero teaching are looking for a qualified teacher with experience in SEN to join one of our schools in Lancaster. You will be teaching a lovely class of Year 6 students and will be responsible for providing a strong new curriculum to pupils of primary age with moderate to complex needs. The class is bouncy and full of energy, so the ideal candidate will be able to bring energy and enthusiasm to the classroom. Although the school also caters for SEMH, this class is specifically moderate to complex autism.
The Role:
- Developing and delivering engaging lessons
- Differentiating learning activities to meet the needs of the individuals
- Working collaboratively with other staff and external agencies
- Supporting and teaching primary students with moderate to complex needs
Position Details:
- Position: SEN Teacher
- Location: Lancaster
- Hours: 0800 - 1600 (Mon-Fri)
- Type of Work: Temporary / Temp to Perm
- Full time/Part time: Full time only
- Minimum Rate of Pay: £162 - Paid to Scale
- Start date: 24/02/2025
- End date: July 2025 (Potential for Perm)
Experience, Training & Qualifications:
- Previous experience teaching students with additional needs, preferably in a specialist setting
- A good understanding of autism, and additional needs
- Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential for this position
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional references
