An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Assistant professional to join a leading professional services firm based in Lancaster. The successful candidate will be a core member of the Accounting & Finance team, responsible for processing payroll for multiple clients and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

My client is going through a massive period of growth and is seeking an experienced Payroll Coordinator to join their successful firm based in Lancaster. They are renowned for their commitment to excellence and their innovative approach to delivering top-tier services to their clients.

Description

As a Payroll Coordinator you will be responsible for:

  • Accurately process weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for multiple clients.
  • Calculate and deduct the correct amounts for income tax (PAYE), National Insurance, and pension contributions.
  • Prepare payroll reports, payslips, and financial summaries for clients.
  • Calculate and process statutory payments such as sick pay, maternity/paternity pay, and holiday pay.
  • Manage payroll services for multiple clients, ensuring adherence to deadlines and accuracy.
  • Handle year-end payroll tasks, including P60s, P45s, and P11Ds
  • Input payroll data including hours worked, deductions, overtime, and bonuses.
  • Ensure sensitive payroll data is handled securely and in compliance with data protection regulations

Profile

A successful Payroll professional should have:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in payroll software
  • Excellent understanding of payroll tax laws and employment legislation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
