STATUS:             Permanent position  

LOCATION:        Office-based and on-site work

SALARY SCALE: £55,000 to £60,000 pa

Our client has been established since 2003, they have a small team and are based near Leatherhead, Surrey.  The company works with many Blue Chip brands and most of its clients are internationally based. 

Their key work is planning and organising incentive programmes, meetings and conferences, product launches and corporate hospitality.

THE ROLE:

To work closely with the CEO to deliver the company’s commercial objectives.

The management of a small team of Project Managers and a pool of contract staff.

End-to-end management of a wide range of events on behalf of our international clients working with overseas event agencies.

The role carries significant opportunities for career advancement and to grow with the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contributing to the strategic planning of the business
  • Supporting marketing and product development activities
  • Primary responsibility for ensuring that briefs are responded to in a timely and effective fashion
  • Budget management of events
  • Assisting in maximising conversion rates and margins
  • Account management with regular agency partners and clients
  • Responsibility for the smooth and effective running of multiple projects
  • Manage and effect the research, availability and prices at hotels, restaurants and event venues
  • Oversee the preparation and maintenance of Working Documents
  • Handling client requests and preparing client proposals
  • Manage supplier relationships
  • Represent company policy and requirements
  • Deal with delegate, client and consumer queries and requirements
  • On-site co-ordination of events and management of suppliers and staff at events

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

This role requires a minimum of ‘A’ level education with 8 years work experience or degree level with a minimum 5 years work experience.

Candidates should be computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Dropbox, Pipedrive).

A knowledge of London and its hotels and venues is an advantage.
