This position is responsible for managing their CAMO department, in ensuring the highest standards of managing the airworthiness of multiple aircraft types across different locations around the world. Additionally, is responsible and accountable for ensuring that the organisation is always in compliance with Part CAMO/Part M.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the department remains in compliance with its own procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Approval by the CAA Technical Log, including any subsequent amendment thereto.
  • Ensuring that their company's technical records are kept and controlled and presented to the CAA if requested.
  • Ensuring the department remains in compliance with its own procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Modifications and repairs (changes) are reviewed and carried out to an approved standard.
  • That the Airworthiness Review Certificate for each helicopter operated by the company remains valid.
  • The review, amendment and control of the Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition. STAR/CAME/001.
  • Review and implementation, as appropriate, of any additional UK CAA national requirements.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Establishment and development of Continuing Airworthiness policy, including the approval of maintenance Programmes.
  • Analysis of the effectiveness of the Maintenance Programme.
  • Monitoring the implementation of the maintenance Programme Selection of the Part 145 maintenance contractors and establishment and amendment of Maintenance Contracts.
  • Monitoring of maintenance standards.
  • Airworthiness Directive review and embodiment.
  • Non mandatory modification embodiment policy.
  • Monitoring of all defects and their rectification.
  • Monitoring of Line and base maintenance activity.
  • Analysis of and reporting any occurrences of a maintenance nature to the CAA and the aircraft manufacturers.

The successful candidate will also be required to travel up to 40 days per year.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years as an Airworthiness Manager.
  • Expert knowledge of the Part 145 Regulations, AMM and AMP, Part CAMO, OTARS.
  • Expert knowledge and experience of complex rotary wing aircraft types.
  • Effective manager with high levels of technical skill.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and well organised.
  • Good IT skills Financially competent
