Our client is looking for a professional and experienced Cost Accountant to join a growing Finance team for a period to cover a maternity leave. As a Cost Accountant, you will be determining the cost of production and profitability analysis.
Key responsibilities as a Cost Accountant will be to:
-Maintain up to date and accurate cost-con model and reflecting changes in manufacturing costs on a timely basis.-Timely upload of cost changes to customer pricing portal.-Key point of contact for process, providing costings and analysis of cost-saving opportunities through the development process.-Analysis of standard costs vs actual costs including reports of factors affecting pricing and profitability.-Conducting manufacturing cost audits to ensure all aspects of the cost-con are captured accurately.-Assists in external audits and customer reviews.-Provide cover as required to the Finance Team.
Required experience/expertise to succeed as a Cost Accountant will include:
-Qualified/Part Qualified Accountant/QBE-Experience of standard costing models / cost systems background-Previous experience in role within FMCG business-Strong excel skills
