Meraki Talent are partnering with a hugely successful UK financial service organisation to recruit a Head of Transactional Operations and will have responsibility for teams driving operational and process effectiveness.You will have direct operational responsibility for the Accounts Payable and Control teams and will take the lead on key projects and operational change that will continue to improve performance and efficiency across the teamsReporting to the Financial Controller, key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Review and maintain the control framework for AP and Controls teams - providing input that continues to improve controls and mitigate risks
  • Manage and provide leadership for the both AP and Controls teams
  • Ensure good stewardship of payables reporting
  • Produce and prepare MI for key Payables and Controls metrics
  • Manage cost element for the VAT return
  • Manage both internal and external audit requests and enhancing stakeholder relationships with Auditors (Int & Ext)
  • Partner with internal Tax team with the view to ensuring accurate data is captured and minimises potential risk
  • Continue to work with project and technology teams on process automation improvements

You will have a background of leadership and direct management of teams, whilst being able to manage change, challenges and also build teams. You'll also be comfortable communicating and presenting with key stakeholders at all levels.The role will have good autonomy and will suit someone keen to challenge current practices, problem solver that effectively provides solutions.You will be able understand finance, variances and data, with an eye for detail, being intuitive and be able to articulate findings to key stakeholders.Overall, this is a fantastic opportunity with a growing and high profile business, there is great growth potential across the group.
