Bennett and Game has the pleasure of working with a well-established accountancy practice based in Leeds, known for their supportive and people-focused culture who are seeking a Senior Accountant to take ownership of their own client portfolio, oversee a team, and play a key role in the continued success of our firm.
You'll be leading a team, reviewing work, and feeding back final sets of accounts for submission. They are seeking a strong leader who can hit the ground running and focus on high-level reviews and signing off final accounts for limited companies.
Senior Accountant Job Overview- Managing your own client portfolio and ensuring excellent client service
- Reviewing work completed by junior team members and providing feedback
- Signing off final accounts for limited companies
- Supporting and mentoring junior staff as they progress in their careers
- Working with accounting software such as SAP, IRIS, Xero, QuickBooks, Sage Line 50, and CCH Central
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with strong practice experience
- Proven experience running a client portfolio
- Confident in reviewing and signing off accounts
- Strong leadership skills to support and develop junior team members
- Experience with Xero and other accountancy software
Salary: circa £44,000
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (8:30 AM - 5 PM, flexible with 1-hour lunch)
Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays + extra 3 days at Christmas
