Account Manager Leeds (80% Office-based)

Elevation Recruitment are delighted to be the exclusive partner to ITW Rocol in the recruitment of an Account Manager to be based at their UK Head office in Leeds. This is a brand new role and a fantastic opportunity to join a world-class manufacturing business!

The Account Manager will serve as the day-to-day point of contact for customers, maintain customer satisfaction, handle account cross-sells and up-sells, and help customers strategise getting the most from the product or service they've purchased throughout the customer life cycle.

Full accountability for the management, development, and retention of a portfolio of Industrial and MRO distributors

What will the Account Manager do:

  • Act as the main point of contact in all matters relating to customer concerns and needs.
  • Build and strengthen customer relationships to achieve long-term partnerships built on strategic alignment.
  • Maintain accurate customer records through the CRM system (Hubspot), keeping track of any new developments at the account, regular updating contact records and customer engagement (calls, visits, email communications) interactions, and managing aspects such as contract updates and renewals, marketing program renewals, rebate schemes etc.
  • Work with Sales, Marketing and Customer Experience to develop strategic account plans to include elements such as account mapping, financial goal setting and objectives, strategic marketing plans and KPIs to track performance and effectiveness.
  • Initiate routine account reviews with customers to assess performance against goals, partnership effectiveness and customer satisfaction, generating reports that summarise progress to share with customers and sales management.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of ITW products and service offerings to better upsell and cross-sell to clients as part of a wider account growth strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing to develop ABM campaigns to increase quality and quantity of customer engagement and support account growth development opportunities and initiatives.

What Skills & Experience are we looking for?

  • Demonstrable sales and distributor account management experience. Knowledge of/experience in the MRO industry desirable.
  • Results driven with strong commercial awareness.
  • Strong industry and commercial knowledge with the ability to identify market trends.
  • A 'people person' with the ability to influence across multiple levels within an organisation.
  • Effectively builds rapport, understands customer decision making process and able to identify customer needs.
  • Proficient at handling multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy & attention to detail.
  • Other European languages (desirable but not essential)
