Chef - 18 hours - 2 Days x 9hr Shifts - £14.50hr - Alternate Weekends

Victoria House is looking for a caring and organised individual -someone who has a love of cooking and baking - to join our team as a Chef. You will need to produce high quality meals that meet our residents individual tastes and dietary requirements.

What your role involves

  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • Maintain all temperature and food hygiene regulations and to complete all daily paperwork.
  • To keep the kitchen and food storage areas, crockery, cutlery and utensils to a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Maintain personal hygiene, dress and appearance.
  • Preparing and cooking quality and appealing meals, cakes, snacks and drinks.
  • Responsible for running an organised and efficient kitchen.
  • Work as part of a team to agreed schedules for meal services.

Who we are looking for

  • Someone who has previous experience in the care or health sector is preferential.
  • Passionate about producing and cooking quality home cooked food.
  • Excellent people skills are required to maintain positive relationships with staff and residents.
  • Someone who is reliable with good time keeping.
  • Can communicate and assist the Head Chef to maintain current 5 star rating.
  • Can work as part of a team and willing to cover when other members of the kitchen teamare on holiday.
  • Willing to take on extra tasks as required to provide an excellent service to our residents.
  • Motivated to achieve customer satisfaction.
