We are looking for a talented HR Shared Services Manager to lead our HR Shared Services team, operating as a centre of excellence.   • Strategic Leadership: Lead the HR Shared Services team to ensure efficient and consistent employee lifecycle actions, focusing on excellence and added value.
  • Tiered Support Model: Develop and manage a tiered HR Shared Services operating model, organising processes, teams, and responsibilities into distinct levels of expertise.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders in HR and Operations to provide targeted HR support.
  • Demand Planning: Proactively plan and utilise HR Shared Services resources efficiently, especially during peak periods and high-volume onboarding/offboarding programs.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership, coaching, and recognition to team members, fostering engagement and maintaining morale.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and manage the day-to-day performance of the HR Shared Services team, ensuring clear SLA and KPIs are met.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a high-performance culture focused on team collaboration, simplicity, and continuous improvement.
  • Data Integrity: Ensure accurate employee and management information through regular audits and maintain a compliance culture.
  • Customer Service: Drive excellent customer service across the team, manage a channel communication of consistent best practice process information, policy advice and guidance & be the point of escalation, handle complex employee and manager queries and prepare responses to all levels of the business.

To be successful you will, You should have extensive experience of operational excellence within HR Shared Services and a proven track record of leading, developing, and motivating a team in HR Operations or HR Shared Services. You will have an understanding of LEAN procedures and techniques, as well as familiarity with HR systems like Cascade and case management systems. Additionally, experience in implementing or upgrading integrated HR systems is an advantage.On the technical and people skills front, you must be adept at managing high workloads and conflicting priorities. A strong customer-focused mindset is vital, as is a passion for enhancing the employee experience and driving continuous improvement. Impeccable active listening skills and experience handling internal issues such as performance reviews and conflicts are also important. Excellent stakeholder management skills, robust organisational abilities, and comfort with managing complex projects are key to success.You will have proven credibility with leadership and HR peers, ensuring that HR Shared Services supports business success and high performance. Adaptability is crucial, as you'll need to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced business environment with a hands-on, logical, and pragmatic approach. Collaboration is also important, as you'll be working in a team environment and supporting others to achieve a best-in-class HR Shared Services department. Being results-focused and committed to achieving goals, while displaying integrity and acting as a behavioural example to colleagues and direct reports, will help you succeed in this role.

Qualifications/Technical skills:

  • CIPD Qualification: Or equivalent degree or time served.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • HR Systems Expertise: Experience with HR systems (ideally Cascade) and case management systems
  • Excellent basic salary with a £6k car allowance & up to 30% bonus opportunity.
