This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who is looking to grow and develop within supply chain. Supply Chain Assistant Benefits:

Responsibilities for a Supply Chain Assistant (but not limited to)

Ordering

  • Review forward stocks every week so each product code is reviewed to see what we need to order.

Shipping

  • Review lines due to ship each week from China to ensure they are still needed and arriving at the correct time.
  • Work with our China office/Suppliers to pull forward orders where we are out of stock and delay where we are overstocked.

Forecasting

  • Check forecasts are correct and accurate based on sales/out of stocks we have.
  • If lines do become overstocked look into why and where sales have dropped off and advise.
  • Ensure we are accounting for any back orders so we are bringing in the correct stock.
  • Reengineered lines - check forecasts for the newly reengineered lines are correct and to start when the old line runs out.

Customer planning

  • Orders that we place weekly will need breaking down. Stock for each customer will need to be added to their blanket order to reserve stock for them and the rest made free for sale for everyone else.
  • Ensuring stock reserved is still needed and we are not under/overstocked.
  • Checks to make sure customers are still taking what they have listed.
  • Analyse customer reports and feedback on any issues arising.
  • Attend a client's head office twice a week to work with them on stock, forecasting and ordering.

Hours of Work:

Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5pm and Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm Supply Chain Assistant Requirements:

  • Strong verbal and written communications Skills are essential for this role
  • Numerate with the ability to work to budgets and understand sales figures
  • The ability to fully utilise Microsoft Office (especially Excel with experience using V Look ups and pivot table )
  • The ability to work well in a team
  • Strong organisational & time management skills
  • The ability to cope with the pressure of fast-paced work
  • The ability to process stock purchase orders right through from placement to them being receipted by the warehouse in the UK
