An expanding Loss Adjusting Division of a Major Claims Management business seeks to appoint an experienced Property Claims Handler to join a growing team providing an award-winning Customer Service to their Property Insurance Policyholders.

You will be working in a fast-paced environment and be part of a friendly team who are driven and motivated, if you are a good listener, enthusiastic and genuinely want career progression this is an excellent opportunity for you.

Duties:

  • Manage the claims process with a customer focus
  • Be at the forefront by liaising with policyholders who would like to make a claim for property damage (Buildings and Contents) resulting from all general perils (fire, flood, storm, escape of water, accidental damage, theft etc.)
  • End to end handling of claims domestic & commercial policies within defined delegated authority limits and processes
  • Act as the Insurer, taking incoming first notification of losses direct from the customer
  • Validating policy cover
  • Triage customers claims for validation and proactively manage the customer journey throughout the claims lifecycle
  • Negotiate settlements
  • The role is fast-paced, telephone biased where you will support the wider physical and virtual teams

Key responsibilities:

  • Register all new claims accurately
  • Proactively manage a caseload of losses, setting customer expectations
  • Assist with enquiries, liaising both verbally and written
  • Work closely with the team, providing support/assistance when required
  • Work to achieve all KPI's and deliver a first-class service
  • Manage complaints
  • Undertake Virtual desktop assessments and assist with building schedules of repair, using repairs strategy.
  • Identification of Fraud and Recoveries

About You:

  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment

  • Property Claims Handling experience (Buildings & Contents)
  • Excellent knowledge, experience of understanding and being able to interpret policy wordings for a number of different Insurance companies
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary upto £30,000
